Welcome to the Silvercloud Studios community arts project.
Located in the city of Lismore in Northern NSW, the Silvercloud Studios project offers quality and affordable studio spaces to local artists and small businesses, in an environment designed to help support and promote local talent.
Using mostly recycled building materials and an innovative approach to design, the massive renovation presents a form that remains sympathetic to the original structure of the iconic ‘old chocolate factory’, while creating a fresh atmosphere conducive to the activities of the Lismore arts and craft community.

In addition to 16 private studios, Silvercloud also features a community hall where regular group classes are held, a community lounge and kitchen area, a gallery where local artists are able to exhibit, and many shared spaces where artists can meet, have a cuppa, and share inspiration. The complex consists of an upper and lower level, with front and rear decks, and a variety of studio styles and sizes to match individual needs and budgets. Studio availability is often limited, but check the Studios for rent page for the latest, or visit our blog.

The renovations, while close to completion, will still be in progress for some months to come. Ongoing work includes the finishing of downstairs common areas, a general tidy up, repainting of the building exterior, and landscaping of the front and rear garden areas.
Parking is available at the front and rear of the main building. Silvercloud Studios has many resident water dragons, blue tongue lizzards, green tree frogs and the occasional (harmless) python. As such, dogs visiting need to be kept on a lead &/or supervised well at all times.
